One of the first areas hunters will venture to, the Deserted Island is a lush and varied land. A multitude of interconnected streams and ponds flow over rugged cliffs and into the great ocean. It is a short airship ride away from Northguard, and well worth it for the hunting available here.

Sub-board: UNDERWATER RUINS

A stark contrast to the snowy lands directly surrounding Northguard, the Great Desert provides a new perspective on hunting. Extremely hot during the day and frigid at night, just surviving a walk through the desert is tough-- much less slaying great beasts. It's not uncommon to see sand ships from the metropolis of Loc Lac sailing back and forth in search of the great Jhen Mohran.

This verdant jungle is teeming with life, and everything from the smallest vespoid to the Chameleos can make its home here. Watch out for sudden rain storms, as they can stop any attempt at bomb detonation in its tracks.

Sub-board: TOWER

If you're going to venture into the Flooded Forest to hunt, be ready to get your boots wet-- half of this area is completely underwater. At night, the various water-filled areas drain out almost completely, but the dangers are still great. Many resources and monsters can be found here, but only to those hunters who managed to make it through without being poisoned to death by the noxious night-puddles! It's safer to come here in the daytime.

Far west of Northguard is a land that provides a stark contrast to the chilly climate most hunters are used to. The volcano is dangerous turf to tread on; some of the most terrifying monsters dread here, and even the ground may betray unwary hunters with sudden explosions! Bring cold drinks.
