No New Posts RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT

Exactly as its name suggests, this district is dedicated to housing - housing of hunters in particular. All hunters of Northguard are given some sort of location to stay for the duration of their service, and are free to customize the interior however they see fit. Hunters who have done greater services to the city and the Guild, as expected, are given better accommodations.

No New Posts the GRAND ARENA

The hugest reason Northguard is so prosperous lies in this absolutely immense structure. Its walls meet directly with the cliff face, extend quite a ways into the ground, and the tops of the seven towers around the walls easily mark the three-quarter height mark of the cliff itself. On top of each of these towers sits a ballista, bringing a quick and violent end to any beast hatching machinations of escaping or attacking those watching. Seating starts halfway up the height of the arena's thick walls, with a total of 8,465 spots. The floor of the arena is covered in sand, allowing for the easiest cleaning between battles, with roughly a third dug out deep and filled with water. The arena itself is also dug partway into the cliff's base, creating a cave-like effect across part of the area. It is used for not only the purpose of arena battles, but also training newer hunters and duels between those more experienced.

No New Posts the HARBOR

Given Northguard's booming economy, and the very limited potential farming land near it, the city has elected to import goods from all over. With that, the harbor's district exploded in activity and size, ships coming to and fro nigh-constantly in this sprawling network of wooden docks, bringing with them tales from many locations and tons of supplies. Merchant ship captains - such as that of the Argosy - will remain down here to sell their goods instead of hiking to the Upper Tier, as Guild item and food-bearing sailors do. Several local ship captains are also in the employ of the Guild, providing their ships to take Hunters on simple Gathering quests and the like.

Board Description
LOWER TIER
Unlike her raised sister, Northguard's Lower Tier has only a few points of interest, though it holds the true heart of the city. The streets are identical to those of the Upper Tier, right down to the pattern of the stones. A rather wide street runs through part of the Residential District and up to the Arena, and branching off further into the Harbor - an effective display of grandeur for the hunters before their time in the Arena, though it is used by all people. Both staircases lead into this grand avenue, and the stones are a lighter color. The Residential District takes up the largest part of the Lower Tier, with the Grand Arena on the west side, near the river, and below the Menagerie. Being on the river, the Harbor is furthest west.
